The Alphens Cossack Choir was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm with which they were received in IJsselstein at the Fulco's Korenfestival. After the first performance, the members regularly received compliments and the question where the second performance was. So that was at 3:00 PM in H.Nicolaas Basilica. The Alphense Cossacks were impressed by this majestic basilica with its beautiful acoustics. It was even better that the Basilica was completely occupied and even visitors had to settle for a standing room at the side.
This was the time for the PR to organize a complete concert there. The event clerk already indicated this after the performance. All stops will therefore be pulled out to surprise the public again in September.
The Alphens Cossack Choir is proud of its members who faithfully attend the rehearsal every Wednesday evening and some have to drive many kilometers for this. Due to their drive and passion for music, the choir managed to expand their repertoire with beautiful music from Ukraine and Georgia, even after all the cancellations of concerts and rehearsals in the Corona period. All this under the inspiring and passionate leadership of conductor Arkady Gankin. He will also provide musical support on the bajan. Natalya Shevchenko , Sheila Moens and Trudi Bos also add an extra timbre to this concerto on the balalaika, bajan and flute respectively. In the special characteristic H. NicolaasBasiliek, the Alphens Cossack Choir hopes to conquer the hearts of visitors from IJsselstein and the surrounding area again. You are welcome.
